This is the first walnut guitar I have built, and the third OM size. It has a slightly deeper body than a standard OM size would have. The back, sides, linings and neck are walnut, the binding is cherry, the headstock overlay is curly walnut, the fretboard and bridge are persimmon and the soundboard and braces are spruce from Stew-Mac. The nut and saddle are unbleached bone. The nut width is 1-3/4″. The tuners are anonymous, but they seem smooth and nice, or they could be directly replaced with higher-end tuners by a future owner of this guitar. The truss rod on this guitar is accessed at the peghead and uses a 4 mm Allen wrench. The finish is Tru Oil. To see a short video of this guitar please follow the link below:
