This is my second resonator guitar, built in April 2014. The cone is a Beard Classic and the spider is a Beard #14. The coverplate, tailpiece, tuners and sound screens are imported parts bought from Beard Guitars. The soundwell is the traditional style made of maple with 9 holes. The fret markers and binding are made of walnut, the position dots and bridge insert are maple and the rest of the guitar is black cherry. The nut is bone. The design of this instrument is from a blueprint drawn by Paul Beard and sold through his company. The wood parts were all made by me. The cherry came off the property where I work and I cut it into boards on the sawmill and air dried it for a couple of years before using it. The finish on this instrument is Tru Oil. Here is a video demonstration.
