Banjo #22, 11″ ash and nickel-sold

To see a short video demonstration of this banjo please follow the link below:

This is the 22nd banjo I have built. All of the wood is ash except for the fretboard and nut which are jatoba (also known as Brazilian Cherry, it is a very hard wood), the dots which are maple and the bridge which is hop-hornbeam. The rim is 3/4″ thick on this banjo.  The tuners are Gotoh and all of the other hardware comes from Stewart-MacDonald and Elderly Instruments so you know it is of good quality. The head is an 11″ Renaissance. The neck has a two way truss rod accessed through the heel. The scale length is 26-1/4″.  The banjo has a Tru Oil finish. There is a brass tag on the dowel stick that reads Zachary Hoyt, Orwell NY 2015, Banjo #22. P9280001.JPGP9280002.JPGP9280003.JPGP9290001.JPGP9290003.JPG
