Banjo #40, curly maple 11″, nickel, $760

****I made this banjo in late November 2016 and since it has not sold in a year I have lowered the price 10%.  The original price was $845, now $760.****

This banjo is the first I have made with nickel-plated hardware for a while.  The wood is curly maple with a hickory neck stripe, fretboard, peghead overlay and heel cap.  The hardware is nickel plated and came from Elderly Instruments and Stew-Mac except for the shoe bolts which are stainless steel.  The scale length is 26-3/16″, the nut width is 1-3/8″ and the rim diameter is 11″.  The tuners are 5 Star, the head is an Elite Amber.  There is a two way truss rod in the neck, accessible through the heel.  The nut is Corian.  To see a video demonstration of this banjo please follow the link below.
