This banjo was begun in December 2016 and completed in January. It has a 12″ rim, 25-1/2″ scale length and 1-3/8″ nut width. The rim and neck are cherry, the fretboard is jatoba and the peghead overlay is cherry burl. The bridge is maple and the nut is Corian. The 5th string nut is bone. The frets are EVO Gold fret wire and the neck has a two way truss rod accessed through the heel. The dots are 1/4″ brass. The tuners are Gotoh raw brass and I made the tension hoop from 360 brass. The tailpiece is a brass No-Knot. All of the rest of the hardware came from Balsam Banjo Works. The top of the rim is turned to the shape of a tone ring. There are some tiny spots from worm holes that I found when I was carving the neck, the area of the neck where they are found can be seen in the last photo.
