This is my first walnut A scale banjo. The neck, rim, rim cap and Romero-style armrest are made from walnut with an ebony fretboard and a curly walnut peghead overlay. If you don’t want the armrest let me know and I’ll take it off and lower the price by $35. This banjo has Gotoh tuners, EVO fret wire and Corian nuts. The scale length is 23″ and the nut width is 1-3/8″. There is a two way truss rod accessed at the heel of the neck. I made the Van Eps style tension hoop and the dowel stick brace, the head and tailpiece came from Smakula Fretted Instruments and the balance of the hardware is from Balsam Banjo Works. The finish is Tru Oil. There is a darker streak about an inch long in the neck wood near the 5th string tuner. There was a hidden bark inclusion or something like it in the wood which I didn’t find till I was most of the way through carving the neck. It is not structurally significant.
