This is my 23rd fiddle overall and my fifth chicken head.  It is 4/4 size, as are all my fiddles so far.  The back, ribs, neck, tailpiece and chinrest are all cherry, the fingerboard is jatoba and the soundboard is Engelmann spruce.  The back has some unusual curly grain patterns in it which are hard to show in a picture but show up in person when the fiddle is tilted back and forth.   The pegs, endpin and endrest are ebony.  To see a video of this fiddle please follow the link below.
