Mandolin #3, cherry and spruce-sold

This mandolin was built in December 2016.  It’s made from the same pattern as the other two I’ve made, in the Ultimate Bluegrass Mandolin Construction Manual by Roger Siminoff.  I made the F5 design in the book into an A5 by omitting the scrolls and points.  The top is Engelmann spruce with a natural stain in it, the fretboard and bridge are jatoba, the peghead overlay is cherry burl and the rest of the wood is cherry.  The dots are brass and the tailpiece and tuners are gold colored in some manner.  The top and back are carved from solid wood in the customary way.  My mandolin playing skills are very limited but I hope the video will give some idea of the sound.
