Cherry dulcimer #31-sold

This dulcimer was made from cherry with a red pine soundboard in November 2016. The cherry and red pine came from the sawmill on the farm where I work and was cut from trees from the property. The soundboard has a couple of wormholes near the edge which may add character, you can see them in the photos. The bridge is rosewood and the nut is Corian. The scale length is 27″. The finish is Tru Oil, which builds to a higher shine than the other oils I used to use and which can be easily sanded out and reapplied in the event that the finish gets scratched. I will gladly make custom dulcimers to order if desired. PB060008.jpgPB060009.jpgPB060010.jpgPB060011.jpg
