This dulcimer was made from cherry in January 2017. The cherry came from the sawmill on the farm where I work and was cut from trees from the property. The bridge and nut are hop-hornbeam, which is a very hard wood. The scale length is 27″. The finish is Tru Oil, which builds to a higher shine than the other oils I used to use and which can be easily sanded out and reapplied in the event that the finish gets scratched. I will gladly make custom dulcimers to order if desired.
