Guitar #16, curly maple parlor size-$1160

This is another parlor guitar loosely based on the Martin I-17 plan from Guild of American Luthiers. The body shape is taken directly from that, but the depth is increased to 4-1/4″ throughout. The scale length is 24-3/4″ and the nut width is 1-13/16″, or 45mm. The back, sides and neck are local curly maple which has streaks of color in the wood, the binding, neck stripes, and peghead overlay are walnut, and the fretboard and bridge are rosewood. The dots are brass, the bridge pins are ebony, the nut and saddle are Corian, and the tuners are Gotohs. There is a two way truss rod in the neck. Body length is 19-1/8″, lower bout width is 13-1/8″, the waist is 7-7/8″, and the upper bout is 9-1/2″.
