Payment and Shipping

Instruments that are in stock will have the price shown in the title of the page, ones that are sold will be marked as sold.  I ship by Priority Mail and all instruments are shipped fully insured.  To find out what shipping will cost please send me an email with your zip code (or your country and your postal code if you’re outside the US) and what you’re interested in ordering.  I will look up the shipping cost and email you a quote, and if you decide to buy I can send you a PayPal invoice.  Generally banjos cost between $50 and $125 to ship, guitars cost a bit more to any given destination, and fiddles, mandolins and dulcimers a bit less.

If you would prefer to send payment by mail that is fine too.  USPS money orders are fine.  I don’t take checks or non-USPS money orders anymore due to some problems I have had with them.  If you have any questions please email me at zachary_hoyt@yahoo.com

I used to use PayPal buttons on the pages of instruments that were available, but the way my web provider organizes the page has changed and I have not found an efficient way to do this under the new system.

Returns

I have a 7 day trial period for any in-stock instrument.  If you don’t like it you can let me know within 7 days of receipt and send it back for a full refund of the purchase price, though the shipping cost will not be refunded as it will have been paid to the USPS already.  Custom builds are not covered by this policy, as they are made to your specifications and may not be what someone else would want.  If you should have a problem in the future with anything I have built I will repair it or do my best to otherwise make it right with you.

Custom Instruments

If you are interested in having a custom instrument built to your specifications please send me an email.  I will be happy to discuss the details with you.  If you see an instrument that you like that has already been sold I would be happy to make you another one like it, though of course it won’t look quite the same as the original since every piece of wood is a bit different.
